The Field Testing Lead is responsible for building, managing, and evolving the company’s field testing system, ensuring that all unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), software, and integrated solutions are stable, reliable, and ready for real combat operations.
Сore responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Management
Define the overall testing strategy and test programs, establish combat readiness criteria (release to field), plan testing campaigns for new products and customized configurations, align test plans with R&D, Integration, Customization, and Deployment teams
Testing Team Leadership
Provide operational leadership for the entire Field Testing Team
Allocate roles, tasks, and workload
Enforce testing discipline and result quality
Train and develop team members
Field Testing & Validation
Oversee execution of field and combat tests
Participate in critical tests and missions
Make go/no-go decisions for system deployment
Ensure rapid response to field issues
Analytics & Feedback
Organize collection of logs, telemetry, and field feedback
Perform incident and failure analysis (root cause analysis)
Deliver structured feedback to R&D, Integration, and Product teams
Maintain reporting on system reliability and stability
Processes & Standards
Develop testing SOPs, checklists, and quality standards
Implement testing best practices
Ensure a unified testing methodology across the organization
Qualifications
Deep understanding of UGVs, embedded systems, communications, and combat systems (Former Ukrainian Armed Forces service members will be considered a strong advantage.)
Proven experience in planning and executing complex field test programs
Strong leadership and people management skills
Ability to operate under high-risk and time-constrained conditions
Analytical mindset with strong failure diagnosis skills
High discipline, ownership, and results orientation
Experience in defense, robotics, or other mission-critical environments — a strong advantage
