Logs Analyst
R&D
Kyiv
Full-time
Role Summary:
The Log Analyst in the Field Testing department is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting telemetry, system, and event logs obtained during bench and field testing of unmanned platforms. The role focuses on identifying the causes of failures, performance degradations, and abnormal system behavior. The Log Analyst ensures that test data is transformed into structured technical conclusions that are used by engineering and related teams to improve the product.
Сore responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Log Collection & Structuring
Collection of logs and telemetry from platforms during bench and field tests
Verification of completeness, correctness and integrity of log data
Structuring and preparation of logs for further analysis
Supporting a unified approach to log storage and naming
Analysis & Root Cause Identification
Analysis of logs to detect failures, anomalies and degradation of system operation
Determination of causes of incidents and incorrect platform behavior
Correlation of events between different subsystems (embedded, electronics, RF, control)
Formation of technical hypotheses and their verification based on data
Test Results Interpretation
Interpretation of test results based on log data
Comparison of expected and actual system behavior
Supporting test engineers in analyzing complex or non-obvious cases
Identification of recurring system problems
Reporting & Feedback
Preparation of structured reports based on analysis results
Formation of clear technical conclusions and recommendations
Transfer of analysis results to engineering and platform teams
Participation in technical analysis of incidents and test results.
Process & Tooling Improvement
Participation in improving logging and telemetry collection approaches
Providing recommendations for improving log quality
Collaboration with engineers on the formation of logging requirements
Supporting test data analysis standards
Key Competencies & Skills
Deep understanding of UGVs, embedded systems, communications, and combat systems (Former Ukrainian Armed Forces service members will be considered a strong advantage.)
Proven experience in planning and executing complex field test programs
Strong leadership and people management skills
Ability to operate under high-risk and time-constrained conditions
Analytical mindset with strong failure diagnosis skills
High discipline, ownership, and results orientation
Experience in defense, robotics, or other mission-critical environments — a strong advantage
Languages Needed:
Ukrainian
Values Alignment:
Analytical approach for decision-making
Responsibility for the accuracy of technical conclusions
Systematic approach to analyses of complex problems
Willingness to work with ambiguous results Tests
