Role Summary
The Technical Writer for the UGV team is responsible for creating, structuring, and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation for unmanned ground vehicle platforms. The role focuses on formalizing platform solutions, requirements, and constraints into clear, accurate, and usable documentation. Provides a single, authoritative source of technical information for UGV platforms for integration, customization, testing, production, codification, and operation.

Key Responsibilities:
Platform Technical Documentation
Development and maintenance of technical documentation for UGV platforms
Description of platform architecture, subsystems and key technical solutions
Formation of technical descriptions, specifications and requirements
Ensuring consistency and integrity of documentation
Collaboration with Engineering Teams
Interaction with mechanical, electronic, RF and embedded engineers
Translation of engineering solutions into structured technical documentation
Clarification of technical details, limitations and initial assumptions
Validation of documentation together with technical owners
Standards & Consistency
Definition and maintenance of standards for technical documentation
Ensuring a uniform style, terminology and structure
Controlling the relevance of documentation during platform changes
Lifecycle & Knowledge Support
Support of documentation throughout the entire platform lifecycle
Preparation of materials for integration, customization and testing
Ensuring accessibility and clarity of technical information for related teams
Key Competencies & Skills:
Experience in creating technical documentation for complex technical systems
Ability to work with engineering information and systematically structure it
Understanding the principles of mechanical, electronic and embedded systems is an advantage
Attention to detail and consistency
Skills in working with technical terminology and standards
Language Requirements:
Ukrainian - fluent
English - Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Values Alignment:
Focus on accuracy and unambiguousness of technical information
Responsibility for the relevance and quality of documentation
Systematic approach to structuring knowledge
Willingness to work with complex technical topics
Clear and substantive interaction with engineering teams
What Success Looks Like After 6 Months:
The documentation of the UGV base platform is structured, relevant and used by all related teams as the main source of technical information. Engineering decisions are recorded correctly and unambiguously, which reduces misunderstandings and speeds up integration, customization, and operation. The technical writer is perceived as the owner of the documentation layer of the UGV platform.
