Process & Quality Engineer

We are currently looking for a Process & Quality Engineer.

You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining efficient and scalable assembly processes. You will ensure that workflows are standardized, performance is tracked, and quality control measures are implemented. Your work will be crucial in preparing for international expansion by ensuring that our production can be replicated in external EMS facilities when needed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assembly Process Development & Optimization

  • Design and improve structured assembly workflows to ensure efficiency and consistency.

  • Identify bottlenecks in the production process and implement solutions to improve productivity.

  • Establish workstation layouts, tooling requirements, and material flow processes to enhance efficiency.

2. Quality Control & Standardisation 

  • Develop and implement quality control processes to minimize defects and ensure product reliability. 

  • Create inspection checklists and testing procedures for subassemblies and final products.

  • Work with the Production Lead and Supply Chain team to ensure that quality standards are upheld throughout the supply chain. 

3. Performance Measurement & Cost Control

  • Define KPIs for production efficiency, defect rates, and rework costs. 

  • Track cycle times, material usage, and waste to identify areas for cost savings. 

  • Work with the Production Lead to develop a cost-control strategy without compromising quality. 

4. Documentation & Scalability for International Expansion 

  • Develop Quality Management processes and documents to meet customer requirements and industry standards. 

  • Develop detailed assembly instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensure that all production documentation is structured so it can be transferred to external OEM manufacturers when the company expands internationally. 

  • Collaborate with the Production Lead and Assembly Trainer to ensure new hires follow standardized procedures.

Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing process optimization, workflow design, and quality control.

  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in the production line.

  • Knowledge of cost control strategies and performance tracking. 

  • Ability to create clear and detailed documentation for training and process standardization.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Odoo preferred) for tracking production performance and material consumption.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to work with Production, R&D, and Supply Chain teams.
