We are looking for a Field Testing Lead to build, lead, and continuously improve our field testing function. This role is critical to ensuring that our unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs), software, and integrated systems are stable, reliable, and truly ready for real combat conditions.
You will own the full field testing lifecycle — from defining combat-readiness criteria to leading field and combat tests, making deployment decisions, and feeding real-world insights back into product development.
Сore responsibilities
Testing Strategy & Planning
Define and own the overall field testing strategy and test programs
Establish combat readiness and release-to-field criteria
Plan and run testing campaigns for new products and custom configurations
Work closely with R&D, Integration, Customization, and Deployment teams to align testing with development and delivery timelines
Team Leadership
Lead and manage the Field Testing Team
Assign roles, tasks, and workloads based on priorities and risks
Ensure testing discipline, high-quality results, and clear documentation
Train, mentor, and develop team members
Field Testing & Validation
Oversee and coordinate field and combat testing activities
Personally participate in critical or high-risk tests when needed
Make go / no-go decisions for system deployment
Ensure fast and effective response to issues discovered in the field
Analysis & Feedback
Organize collection of logs, telemetry, and field feedback
Conduct incident and failure analysis, including root cause analysis
Provide clear, structured feedback to R&D, Integration, and Product teams
Maintain reporting on system stability, reliability, and test outcomes
Processes & Standards
Develop and maintain testing SOPs, checklists, and quality standards
Introduce and enforce testing best practices
Ensure a consistent and unified testing methodology across the organization
Qualifications
Strong technical understanding of UGVs, embedded systems, communications, and combat systems
(Experience in the Ukrainian Armed Forces is a strong advantage)Proven experience in planning and executing complex field test programs
Confident leader with solid people-management skills
Ability to operate effectively in high-risk, time-critical environments
Strong analytical thinking and failure-diagnosis skills
High level of discipline, ownership, and responsibility
Background in defense, robotics, or other mission-critical environments is a strong plus
