The Product Lead is responsible for defining and driving product vision and strategy, ensuring the organization focuses on the highest-impact
opportunities. This role owns product outcomes (not outputs), aligning cross-functional teams around clear priorities and enabling product
teams to solve the most critical problems.
As a peer to other executive leaders (e.g., CTO, CEO, the Product Lead ensures that product decisions are grounded in customer insight,
business viability, and strategic focus - continuously evaluating opportunity cost and making deliberate choices about what to pursue and
what not to pursue
Сore responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Define and continuously evolve a clear product vision aligned with company mission and long-term goals
Develop and own product strategy, including prioritization of problems, focus areas, and strategic trade-offs
Identify the most critical problems to solve, ensuring teams work on high-leverage opportunities rather than incremental improvements
Make and communicate difficult prioritization decisions, explicitly clarifying what will
not be pursued
Ensure product decisions are evidence-based, leveraging customer insights, data, and experimentation
Lead and coach product managers, designers, and product tech leads
Establish strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design, and business leadership (acting as a peer, not a stakeholder)
Ensure teams are aligned with strategic context (vision → strategy → execution) and focused on outcomes over outputs
Drive continuous discovery and validation of ideas, balancing value, viability, usability, and feasibility risks
Maintain a clear decision-making framework and product strategy artifacts (e.g., quarterly strategy updates, decision logs)
Actively engage with customers and the market to validate direction and uncover opportunities
Align multiple product lines and initiatives into a coherent product portfolio strategy
