Technician, Technical Preparation & UGV Testing
R&D
Kyiv, Ukraine
Full-time
ARK Robotics builds technology that matters now. We're looking for a hands-on technician to prepare and verify our unmanned ground systems for testing, service, and deployment — sitting at the intersection of manufacturing, service, and field readiness. We especially welcome candidates who tinker with electronics in their spare time — that kind of curiosity and hands-on instinct is exactly what this role rewards.
Сore responsibilities
What you will do
Flash and configure onboard systems — controllers, flight controllers, radio and video modules, cameras; verify signal quality, image integrity, firmware parameters, and correct operation
Prepare and check equipment cases, including relay solutions
Manage batteries: incoming checks, test preparation, and pre-test charging
Configure steering and related mechanisms
Test assembled units — verify subsystem interaction and mechanical/electrical integration
Perform pre-test and pre-handover technical inspections
Log faults, deviations, and inspection results
Flag blockers and report unit status to manufacturing and engineering leads before each test or handover
What we expect
1–3 years of hands-on experience with electronics, embedded systems, or similar technical work — or less, if you can show us what you've built
Hands-on experience with flashing, configuring, and diagnosing electronic systems
Understanding of radio, video, power, and control electronics
Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation
Soldering skills and comfort working with circuit boards and electronic components
Structured approach to checklists, inspections, and technical documentation
Comfortable working fast with high accountability for results
Nice to have
UGV or UAV operating experience
Field or functional testing background
Cross-functional experience with production and service teams
Basic programming knowledge (any language) — enough to read config files, understand scripts, or automate simple tasks
Hobby interest in electronics, DIY hardware, or RC systems — this kind of curiosity fits right in
What we offer
Probation period: 2 months
Why ARK Robotics
Work on systems with real-world impact
Ownership culture — fast decisions, no bureaucracy
Direct feedback loop between engineering, testing, and deployment
Build products that protect people and preserve freedom
